Emilia graduated from the Atlantic Theater Conservatory Program in New York City. A Minnesota-native and ramen enthusiast, she got her start in the indie film and theatre scene where she met Julia Trinidad. The women co-founded a production company, the tongue-in-cheek FatChix Films, that has gone on to win several awards and their work has been featured in a wide range of festivals.
